Please let me try to describe what is a Wolf Grey German Shepherd. In a balance between a dog look and a wild animal look, a Wolf Grey (Sable) German Shepherd is definitely more on the side of the wild animal. For a working dog, the more ferocious and impressive it's look, plain better. No wonder why Military and Law Enforcement Agencies from several European Countries prefers Wolf Grey German Shepherds.

Wolf Grey German Shepherds are as elegant as a Bentley, and with their razor blade look and their kick butts attitude, there is no better partners for Military and Police Forces. On the line of duty, attack orders may not be ever necessary, thanks to that "Out of the zoo face" which stops on cold anyone from trying to run away or getting a little cranky.

But you don't need to be part of the SWAT team or drive a Hummer to own a Wolf Grey German Shepherd. They are just great for families too, even if you have small kids. How come? How would I describe that special tie between my family and our German Shepherds? Well, let me put it this way. Why I call them Wolf Grey German Shepherds? Well, first of all I didn't invent them, these dogs are pure breed German Shepherds known in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (where all my dogs come from) as Vlkoseda, which literally translated means Wolf Grey. In other parts of the world they like to call them Sables, like in the United States. This color of hair is usually associated with Working Lines of the German Shepherd dog. Beauty lines are usually black & tan.
